The A-Bike was designed for maximum portability. It was created for those people that want to cut their commuting times down but need to carry their bike with them. For example, this kind of bike works perfectly for a ride to the bus stop. Then you can fold the bike up, take it with you on the bus, and unfold it and ride it again once you get off the bus. Also, for those people that don't have a lot of space, the bike can be stored easily in a closet.
The A-Bike is only 13 lbs and when folded, measures 2.2ft x 1ft x .5ft.
 
With its unique design, only one company makes it so the price is on the high side. You can expect to pay around $300 US for an A-Bike. If you see one cheaper on the internet, it may be an imitation and not constructed from the same materials. A real A-Bike uses fiber glass parts for its strength and light weight, but imitations can be plastic.
